Offended
Being offended is not a good measure of evidence.
Just because we feel attacked or threatened in what we believe, this doesn’t mean we're right. It just means we're attached to our opinion.
When we feel offended, we often act as if that’s a good instant measure to turn down an opinion or a perspective. However, “I don’t like how this sounds, therefore this can’t be true” is both a logical error and an admission of a lack of strong enough self-identity to withstand the dismantling of currently held beliefs.
